Effective Immediately: Anyone that needs a permit or thinking they need a permit, please contact the Building Inspector. We would also like you to contact the town so that we have written documentation to avoid any confusion in the matter.

Garbage/Recycling Information:Â JD Trucking would also like to inform residents that all plastics will be accepted The reason the increase for garbage pickup to the residents is due to the rising cost of insurance, fuel and disposal fees. JD Trucking informed the Town that if residents want, they can bring bags to JD Trucking in Waldo at $2.00 per bag under 33 gallons and $4.00 over 33 gallons. No fee for the recyclables.

Re: Outdoor Wood Stoves
We have been receiving a few heads-up from residents about outdoor wood stoves that have been installed recently.
As of M arch 14th 2006 the town has had an ordinance in place requiring a permit before installation of one of these outdoor stoves.
The board is asking anyone that may have installed an outdoor stove without a permit notify the town of the installation and obtain the required permit to bring these installations in compliance with the town ordinance. The board is considering allowing a grace period for these permit-less installations. NO deadline has yet been set. Please Notify Clerk, Mari Born ASAP if you have installed a outdoor stove without a permit.
